Well, another two pounds has left the building! Yay. It's clear to me that my renewed sense of energy and commitment is paying off! More later, but it's a kids week and I'm swamped!
Yeah!!! That is amazing! 6 pounds since I seen you last, hurray! I am doing MUCH better too. I seem to finally find my place in this diet world. I have chose (after several options) to follow the diabetes guidelines that my mom gave me. She is diabetic and so is my aunt. I feel so much better about my eating choices that I feel like I have lost tons of weight, but according to the scale, not really since I started 2 weeks ago. I have been using the "plate method". Read up about it if you are unaware of it. It seems to really work for me. I have not been 100% strict when it comes to weekends, but much better than I usually would on a weekend. For example, I ate my breakfast, lunch and morning snacks like I was supposed to eat both Saturday and Sunday, but we have Ralph's parents staying with us since yesterday and they ALWAYS want to have a cocktail at 5 p.m with some type of chip, pretzel, etc. So, during that time of day I found myself having some chips and salsa. Does it help that I actually bought a whole wheat chip??? Ha Keep up the great work Lisa!
I'm recently married to a wonderful man and a stepmother to three children (age 8, 10 and 12). I'm uncovering a skinny lifestyle in this strange-to-me busy life. Follow me as I carve out healthy options in a family where dessert and good food is king. This should be particularly interesting as I'm a woman known to equate love with food!
